An onsite registration desk will be open at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre from March 23-26, 2011.

The Full Conference and Full Conference Reduced Rate fee includes: attendance to all sessions, materials, three (3) continental breakfasts, three (3) lunches, morning/afternoon refreshment breaks, one (1) ticket to the Welcome Reception on March 23, one (1) ticket to the Networking Dinner on March 25, and a delegate bag.

The One Day and One Day Reduced Rate fee includes: admission to all sessions for the respective day, materials distributed that day, continental breakfast, lunch, and morning/afternoon refreshment breaks that day. Additional fees apply for a pre-conference workshop, the Welcome Reception and the Networking Dinner.

*Association Pass-The Association pass allows multiple individuals from the same organization to attend the conference for one price. There is one pass assigned to the organization, which is shared amongst members, and only one individual is permitted to be in attendance at the conference at one time. One meal package, 1 ticket to the Welcome Reception and 1 ticket to the Networking Dinner is included with the Association Pass.

Registration Terms, Procedures and Contact Information

1. Online Payment of Fees - Online payment can be made via the secure registration form with Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

2. Payment by Cheque - If you would like to pay by cheque, please complete the online registration form and select the 'Pay Later' option on the payment page. All cheques must be made out to Metropolis 2011, must be in Canadian funds, and must be drawn from a Canadian bank. Please ensure the registrant's name is marked clearly on the cheque. Send the cheque to the Metropolis 2011 Registration Secretariat (see address below).

3. Payment by Wire Transfer - If you would like to pay by wire transfer, please complete the online registration form and select the 'Pay Later' option on the payment page. The Secretariat will issue you the wire transfer banking information. Please note that a processing fee of CAD $8.50 applies for all wire transfer payments. Wire transfer payments can only be accepted on first time payments. All other payments must be made by credit card.

4. Confirmation - Your registration and payment will be confirmed by an automatic email. Please use this confirmation as your registration receipt.

5. Login and Password - On the online registration's form Logon Page, you will be asked to log on (if you are an existing registrant) or create a new user account. Your email address and password will permit you to complete your registration payment at a later date if necessary and edit your personal details.

6. Cancellation Policy - Registration cancellations or revisions must be submitted in writing by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Registration fees, less a $25.00 administration charge, will be refunded if cancellation is received in writing by February 9, 2011 at 23:59 PST. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after February 9, 2011.

7. Letter of Invitation to the Conference - A letter of invitation is issued solely for the purpose of assisting participants with visa applications and/or to obtain funding for their attendance at the conference. Such a letter does not imply any financial obligation on the part of the conference organizers. If your entry visa to Canada is denied, we will refund your registration payment in full without penalty.
